Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in our café. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will play a vital role in enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using a cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and beverage supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Engage with customers to create a friendly and inviting atmosphere, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• A passion for coffee culture and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 38 per week
