What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT (Multiple Locations) position at Vintech Management Services?
Vintech is always accepting applications for EMTs. The right candidate for an EMT at Vintech has at least 1-2 years of experience. The minimum commitment required is at least 24 hours a month but many per-diem employees are easily able to pick up 24-36 hours a week. Full time employees are required to work 36 hours/week. A variety of shifts are available, with varying start and end times, and with durations from 8 to 24 hours. The schedule is very flexible and can easily accommodate rotating around a fire department schedule. Our sites are staffed by a core group of providers who are committed to helping each other with scheduling needs such as early relief and hold overs.
Our headquarters is in Torrington, but Vintech has contracts in 9 towns located throughout Connecticut. All of these contracts are 911 only and perform no inter-facility transfers. This job is a great alternative to working commercial services where you frequently get held over. All sites are staffed from an EMS station or firehouse with full housing quarters (no posting). We are incredibly supportive of our employees educational pursuits and make it a priority to accommodate class and clinal schedules. All employees are eligible for free EMT and BLS refreshers. Per-diem medics with Vintech are given first opportunity to take a full time position before outside candidates are considered.
