What are the responsibilities and job description for the Southbury Paramedic position at Vintech Management Services?
Full-Time Paramedics at our Southbury Ambulance staffing site work 8, 12, 16, or 24-hour shifts on a dedicated ALS ambulance and provide only 911 responses (no transfers). Crews staff out of a comfortable and well-appointed station (no posting) with full sleeping quarters. The call volume for the entire town is about 3300 calls, which is split between 3 ambulances during the day and 2 at night. Patients are most commonly transported to Danbury Hospital or Saint Mary's/Waterbury. Charting is done with Zoll/EMS charts. There is no limit on mutual shift swaps. This site is staffed by a small core group of paramedics who are very flexible with scheduling (such as swaps, coming in early, or holding over) and are very reliable with relief. Pay scales are as follows: 0-3 years full-time experience $35/hr. Greater than 3 years of full-time experience $40/hr.
