What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Associate position at VIP Staffing?

We are now hiring for Production Associates for a Manufacturing company in San Marcos, TX. These positions are starting ASAP! Please submit your resume to this posting and call our office at 830-629-2525.

Pay : $17 / hr base $1 / shift differential

Schedule :

  • 3rd shift : Sunday-Thursday 10 : 00pm-6 : 30am
  • MUST be able to train on 1st shift for the first few weeks (Monday-Friday 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm)

What You Will Do

  • Set up and operate machinery to manufacture complex products and customized bundles
  • Perform routine maintenance and maintain proper adjustment of machinery.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and notify Inventory Control of low levels or defective materials.
  • Regularly review and remain current on Operating Procedures, Quality Procedures and
  • Maintain a clean and safe working area using LEAN Manufacturing principals
  • Work in a Team environment

    • Who You Are

  • Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)
  • Understanding of production procedures, manufacturing specifications, etc.
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
  • Attention to detail
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Physical stamina and strength
  • Ability to think and act quickly for problem solving

    • Knowledge and Experience :

  • Ability to read and write English
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Supervisory or management experience preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing processes

    • Salary : $17 - $18
