General Shift Times • LPN/RN o 6:30am – 7:00pm or 6:30pm – 7:00am
Other • Orientation will be for the first few hours of the candidates shift which will include Medication Passes, PCC, Policy’s, and Others.
- New clock in and out system for all agency staff.
You must log your time for your agency and for the facility BOTH.
Facility Note: We have 4 units with 1 nurse per unit. On night shift occasionally due to call offs we go down to 3 nurses.
The 3 nurses are to split 2W from 10pm – 630am after the nighttime med pass is complete.
There are minimal medications that need to be passed between these times.
1E is our short-term rehab unit, the other 3 units are long term care.
Nurses are expected to follow our procedure when working in the building.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The LPN will provide basic nursing care, administer medications, monitor patient health, and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will be a licensed LPN with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a passion for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician.
- Monitor patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiration, and report changes.
- Administer prescribed medications, injections, and treatments.
- Assist with patient assessments and create or update patient records.
- Collaborate with RNs and physicians to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about post-treatment care and home health management.
- Assist in performing diagnostic tests and collecting lab samples as needed.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient care and treatment activities.
- Comply with all healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in state of Michigan .
- Completed LPN program from an accredited institution.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Previous nursing experience is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to nursing protocols and policies.
Work Environment:
- Work settings may include hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or home health care settings.
