Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Drug and Rehab Nurse to join our healthcare team. This individual will play a key role in supporting patients recovering from addiction and substance abuse, providing nursing care, administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and ensuring the highest standards of care throughout the rehabilitation process. The Drug and Rehab Nurse will work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate a positive and supportive recovery environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' physical and mental health during detoxification and rehabilitation.
- Administer medications and manage prescriptions in accordance with patient care plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding addiction, treatment options, and recovery.
- Document patient progress, vital signs, and any changes in condition.
- Collaborate with medical and therapeutic teams to create individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Educate patients on health and wellness practices to promote recovery and prevent relapse.
- Monitor and manage withdrawal symptoms, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Respond to medical emergencies promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in addiction recovery and nursing care.
