Directs Skilled Care nursing activities and resources to achieve department and organizational objectives. Develops and implements, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complain management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.
Plans and monitors staffing activites, including hiring, orienting, evaluatin, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the deparetment operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs interal/exteral audits.
Integrates evidence-based practives into operational and clinincal protocols.
Creates and fosters an enviroment that encourages professional growth.
Assures quality of care by adhereing to established best practives and standards, measuring health out-comes against patient care and standards; recommending necessary adjustments, following hospital and philosphies and standards of care set by the Tennessee Board f Nursing, and other governing agencies.
- BSN or Master's degree
- AHA-Basic Life Support
- Current licensure by the State of Tennessee
