POSITION TITLE: Senior Learning & Development Specialist
POSITION REPORTS TO: Vice President of Strategic Support
DEPARTMENT: Strategic Support

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for enhancing the skills and knowledge of our employees and leaders by developing and delivering comprehensive training programs in Operations, Technology, and Leadership Development. This person will be leading training sessions for new or existing employees or devising skill development programs targeted at filling organizational needs. The ideal candidate will have a go-getter attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to take ownership of Talent Development initiatives within the organization while working directly with Human Resources (HR) and business groups to identify training needs and strategies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take ownership of the Talent Development function within HR, driving initiatives that foster continuous learning and professional growth.
- Partner with department heads to align training programs with strategic goals and performance metrics
- Assess employees' current knowledge levels and decide which instructional areas could be beneficial for training.
- Manage, execute, and facilitate new hire and management trainings
- Create engaging, interactive, and effective training materials and curricula tailored to different learning styles and levels of expertise
- Write and continuously update comprehensive & effective curricula for workshops and training sessions ensuring all training materials align with organizational goals and departmental needs.
- Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions; Identify and procure effective employee training and report on the training's efficiency to leadership and stakeholders
- Proactively identify knowledge gaps and operational policies
- Prepare hard copy training materials such as module summaries, videos, and presentations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments and performance metrics and identify areas of improvement
- Monitor employee performance and response to training
- Performs other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position does not have direct reports.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience developing curriculum and instructional materials highly preferred
- Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
- Phenomenal communication, presentation, and public speaking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required in Learning & Education Studies: Workplace Training & Development, Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, or related field
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a Teaching, Trainer, Learning and Development or similar relative role
- Solid knowledge of the latest corporate training techniques.
- Expertise in facilitating training in technical systems, i.e. Epicor, Salesforce, and advanced tools like MS Excel.
- Strong background in leadership development and sales training.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish required.

- Ability to Travel up to 25% of the time or as required
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear
- Ability to operate a computer keyboard
- Ability to read a variety of materials
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to carry 5-10 lbs. (computer, etc.)
