Must be able to operate routine office equipment, including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation. Ability to lift 20 pounds (if necessary for office supplies or materials).
Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounting operations.
- Assists in recruiting and hiring accounting staff and conducting performance evaluations.
- Implement training for new hires and identify ongoing training opportunities for current staff.
- Oversee the system of internal controls over accounting functions to minimize risk.
- Handle disciplinary and termination processes as needed, in accordance with company policy.
- Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements and annual reports.
- Provide necessary statements and information for audits as required.
- Oversee annual preparation and filing of Forms 1042, 1042-S, 1099-NEC, and 1099-MISC.
- Prepare budget reports and assist other departments in preparing annual budgets.
- Coordinate the preparation of the company’s tax return.
- Ensure the monthly multi-national royalty payments are processed promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements, including but not limited to OFAC compliance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Five or more years of related experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant), is preferred, but not required.
