We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Cabin Design Engineer to join our innovative team. The selected candidate will participate in the design of unique aerospace vehicles and be responsible for supporting the on-time release of drawings and models.
The responsibilities will include:
- Supporting engineering efforts in reviewing supplier designs for fit, form, and function while meeting weight budgets.
- Reviewing and releasing supplier-provided drawings.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers throughout design and production.
- Developing and reviewing validation and verification plans.
- Supporting production and operations teams to ensure readiness for flight.
- Authoring manuals and templates such as design standards and best practices.
- Coordinating with engineering stakeholders during design, production, integration, test, delivery, and operation of air/space vehicles.
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aeronautical, Astronautical, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 8 years' experience with a strong emphasis in design for aerospace vehicles.
- Knowledge of and experience with designing cabin interior mechanical parts or similar.
- Experience with CATIA V5/6 or similar CAD software required.
- Working knowledge of design using GD&T standards and tolerance analysis.
- Excellent decision-making skills with attention to details.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team player, highly dependable, strong work ethic, organized with excellent time management skills.
