Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with call in/email orders
- Strong Computer Skills are REQUIRED for this position - candidates without demonstrated computer skills within their resume will not be considered.
- Sales is a huge part of this customer service role. Cross-sell and upsell efforts are required on each call with an expectation that overall sales growth is obtained with upsell and cross sell as a major contributor to these goals. (Examples: encouraging related items or highlighting missed opportunities for savings by buying in larger quantities)
- Assist in the overall corporate sales goal as an increase in all sales year over year by handling complex orders, answering pricing questions, or through transferred calls.
- Has a thorough understanding VAC to ensure the customer is ordering the right product for a given application or piece of equipment
- Fully understands the complex pricing strategy and ensure customer orders are priced properly.
- Input orders received via telephone, fax, email must be entered into the system accurately, to avoid product returns.
- CSR has a significant responsibility to treat all customers with courtesy, respect and efficiency, regardless of whether or not the customer/prospect reciprocates.
- CSR makes decisions quickly related to customer complaints, including whether to allow a product return, whether to issue a credit to the customer, and whether to charge freight to the customer for the return.
- The CSR must use good judgment, considering all factors, in arriving at such decisions.
- A commitment to attendance is imperative to this role.
