What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Faculty - Management & Entrepreneurship (Negotiations), School of Business position at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)?
The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of adjunct faculty applicants to teach for the 2023-2024 academic year. Should funding for such adjunct teaching positions become available, the Department of Management will contact persons in the pool whose credentials match our teaching needs. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises.
This posting will remain active until June 30, 2024. After June 30, 2024, you will need to reapply to the updated posting if you would like to remain in the adjunct pool. Note that we are unable to hire applicants who are not already in the pool.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to teach Negotiations
Required Qualifications:
- Master's of Business Administration (MBA) or degree in a field closely related to management or law; or a Bachelor degree in a field closely related to management and relevant work experience in an area related to the course being taught
- Strong oral presentation and communication skills
- Significant and substantive professional business experience in an area related to the course being taught
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline to the course being taught at the time the appointment begins
- Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome
