School of Social Work, CRAFFT/MFA Program Coordinator: administrative and program evaluation support
The Consortium for Resource Adoptive and Foster Family Training (CRAFFT) and Mutual Family Assessments (MFA) at VCU at VCU, a community engaged child welfare specific sponsored program is looking for a motivated and organized part time team member to provide administrative and program evaluation support to the team. This position is within the School of Social Work and will support the CRAFFT/MFA programs’ administrative needs and work with the team on the development and implementation of a program evaluation plan. This team member would have the opportunity to review the literature and support the research team in many aspects of the research process including participating in collaborative meetings, preparing materials for IRB, recruit participants, collect and analyze data, and assist in sharing results through reports and recommendations for program improvement efforts. This position would also support the CRAFFT/MFA programs with a myriad of administrative tasks and other program related projects.
Position Responsibilities:
- Complete training in the Responsible Conduct of Research
- Collaborate to design data collection procedures and retention processes
- Assist with recruitment and screening of potential participants
- Manage data collection procedures of program evaluation plan
- Manage participant incentive procedures
- Assist with data analysis
- Assist with the development of reports, publications, and program improvement plans
- Conduct literature reviews of related child welfare programs or research topics,
- Compile and analyze program data collected to inform program improvement
- Provide recommendations on further program improvement and strategic planning from review of the literature and program data
- Contribute to reports as needed
- Assist with refining program objectives and creating outcome measures
- Collaborate with program staff on program tasks; including planning, communicating, and implementing program logistics, and organization of files
- Working with team members to support the creation of streamlined and efficient processes for compiling program data, completing and submitting reports
- Complete purchase request forms and expense reports for program and team expenses
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
- Other duties as assigned
This position may also have the opportunity to participate in stakeholder meetings and training events to gain further context for the project when appropriate.
Additional information:
Compensation is $20 - 40 per hour

- Estimated number of hours per week to be worked is 5 - 15 (depending on program needs each week)
- This is a remote work position with opportunities to meet in person as needed to support program and worker needs
- This position is within the School of Social Work
- Direct Supervisor will be Naomi Reddish, Administrator for Community Engaged Child and Family Well-being Initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications:
- prior research experience is preferred, but not required
- experience with data collection and/or RedCap is preferred
- experience managing projects, data, and/or digital files within google drive and other technology applications (e.g., RedCap, SPSS),
- experience conducting literature reviews
- attention to detail
- professional writing/correspondence skills,
- experience in data analysis with an interest and/or experience in program evaluation
- social work in child welfare preferred
