Mission or Goal of Unit: The Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond (CHoR) of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System has committed itself to transforming the division into a model academic unit devoted to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and clinical, translational, and basic research. Chief Purpose of this position: The division is seeking a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Physician. This Pediatric Hematology/Oncology role will provide support to the division in its continuity of care for new and existing patients. The division and CHoR are part of the NCI-designated Massey Comprehensive Cancer Center. CHoR is one of 4 qualified hemophilia treatment centers in the state of Virginia, and one of two lifespan programs in the state. The QTC multidisciplinary team includes a dedicated APP, social worker, nursing and administrative support. Additionally, the division offers a Pediatric Hematology-Oncology fellowship with support for a fourth year.
