Data Analysts perform routine to moderately complex analysis requiring a general knowledge of multiple IT functional areas, applicable policies, procedures and legal compliance. Typical responsibilities include interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques; developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality; acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases. The nature of the work requires logical decision-making and sound problem-solving skills. They work under general supervision, making routine to complex decisions independently and referring unprecedented issues to an upper-level manager.
