What are the responsibilities and job description for the VCU Athletics *Women's Lacrosse" Graduate Assistant position at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU)?
VCU Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Women's Lacrosse program.
Position Responsibilities:
(On
field responsibilities):
Attending all practices and competitions;
Filming drills and individual sessions when necessary;
Maintaining statistics for practice and competitions when needed; and
Other on-field responsibilities as assigned and in accordance with NCAA rules.
(Office
responsibilities):
Attending and participating in staff meetings (compliance, practice planning, academic, strength & conditioning, individuals);
Meeting with recruits and families when available and/or when needed;
Uploading Film to Hudl/Hudl Exchange; and
Download GPS data tracking;
Other office responsibilities as assigned and in accordance with NCAA rules.
Required Qualifications:
- Admittance into a VCU graduate program; and
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a graduate assistant at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Former student-athlete experience;
- Knowledge of or prior work experience in intercollegiate athletics;
- Strong customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented; and
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
