Position Responsibilities: The successful candidates will complement our current faculty’s areas of expertise and balance between online and campus courses. In addition to the above-mentioned teaching activities, the faculty members will participate in service activities equivalent to 15-20% of their time. There is no required research effort for these positions.
Required Qualifications:The successful candidates will be required to have a Ph.D. in any of the domains of the psychological sciences, with preference given to candidates with a successful record of teaching across multiple domains. Demonstrated experience teaching online courses is required. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.The Department of Psychology, which will be the home for this position, is a diverse department with over 50 faculty members from diverse backgrounds, and serves a diverse student body of over 1,800 undergraduate students and over 120 graduate students. Many faculty members also take part in community-based research, initiatives, and engagement. Virginia Commonwealth University is a public university located in Virginia's capital city.
