Summary:
VCU’s School of Education (SOE) seeks a CISTEME Program Assistant II who is responsible for providing support, managing and executing several initiatives and projects associated with the Center for Innovative STEM Education (CISTEME). Responsibilities can include data and research support, support with event planning and working with K-12 teachers and students in local school districts. Applicants must enjoy working within a team environment and have an interest in advancing STEM education.
- Assist with the planning and execution of the Metro Richmond Science & Engineering Fair.
- Assist in the management of a district-wide STEM Ambassadors program.
- Collaborate with other students and professional staff.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings, as needed.
- Assist with other tasks and duties, as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Students with STEM-related majors are strongly encouraged to apply (biochemistry, biology or chemistry major in sophomore standing or higher.
- Experience and working knowledge with Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, etc.
- Student must possess strong organizational & communication skills, along with a willingness to learn.
- Ability to self-manage time and adhere to deadlines.
