Job Description
General Description :
The Project Manager and Grant Writer is a versatile professional who provides support to faculty and staff pursuing grant funding and helps manage grant projects after they are awarded. This position reports to the Director of the Grants Office.
Duties and Tasks :
Participates in all functions of the Grants Office from pre-award through closeout.
Works collaboratively with administrators, faculty, and staff across College programs and campuses.
Works with faculty / staff subject matter experts to write, revise, and finalize grant applications (federal, state, and foundation).
Supports faculty / staff with implementation and completion of grant-funded projects, including tracking budgets and writing reports.
Follows protocols and maintains required documents and data in Grants Office platforms and databases.
This position is restricted and is funded with non-continuous or non-recurring funding and is subject to continuation based on fiscal year funds and the needs of the College.
KSA's / Required Qualifications :
Required KSAs :
Knowledge of federal grant competitions and regulations.
Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to manage multiple projects in different phases simultaneously.
Ability to produce high-quality work with attention to detail, including to meet tight deadlines.
Required Qualifications :
Experience developing competitive proposals, particularly for federal grant programs.
Experience as a grant project director.
Experience with advanced functions of Excel for creating budgets, tracking expenditures, and analyzing simple data sets.
Experience with Microsoft Office, PDF software, and grant management databases.
Experience interpreting RFPs (Request for Proposal) and federal regulations.
Additional Considerations :
Subject matter expertise in one or more areas related to education content areas and / or community college programs and services, such as STEM, career pathways, healthcare, skilled trades or student support.
