Job Duties

The Blue Ridge Health District (BRHD) is seeking to hire an Environmental Health Supervisor for the Onsite Water and Sewage Disposal Program to join our team! BRHD encompasses the counties of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa and Nelson along with the City of Charlottesville.

The position serves as a supervisor in the environmental health program with formal administrative programmatic and performance management responsibilities for multiple staff in support of work unit goals and objectives. Certifications of the Environmental Health Specialist Senior are required if performing inspections or evaluations of that level. The Environmental Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred but required if performing the duties.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of the technical aspects of the relevant program and ability to provide effective supervision and leadership.
• Certifications of the Environmental Health Specialist Senior are required if performing inspections or evaluations of that level.
• The Environmental Health Technical Specialist certifications are preferred but required if performing the duties.
