A qualified candidate will have experience and well versed in Purchasing, Inventory Management, Managing Staff and Contracts.

- Establish acceptable levels of performance for assigned staff in consultation with
- Complete performance evaluations in compliance with established policies and

Contracting
- Develops specifications, identifies potential sources, solicits bids, negotiates
vendor performance resolving related problems
- Implements, interprets and ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, & laws
- Conducts negotiations of terms/conditions/cost for all leased equipment
related maintenance & services
- Keeps log of all contracts
Purchasing
- Assist in development of procurement policies & implements, interprets, and
- Develops specifications, researches sources of supply, solicits bids,
vendors on all non-routine items not on state contract & are authorized for local
purchase
- Initiates the necessary purchase orders or requisitions for items on contract or
- Reconciles and review monthly credit card statements
- Supports the intent of Executive Order 20 (2014) and goals of the Agency
Oversight
- Establishes, revises, & implements such management control, operational
operation of supply
- Oversees & monitors daily operations resolving related problems & providing such
investigating/responding to complaints, resolving disagreements between assigned
staff & others, & responding to written & verbal inquiries
- Participates in planning efforts and attends meetings
Inventory
- Supervises the required FAACS & local controllable inventory systems on all non-
maintenance of records, resolving related problems with the Fiscal Office &
placement of decals
- Ensures annual inventories are performed & year-end reports are submitted to
Purchasing & General Services
- Recommends replacement of equipment assets based upon useful life, condition,

Minimum Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of state policies and procedures involved with the procurement
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply established rules and regulations
- Experience supervising the work of others
- Demonstrated success as a negotiator and effective in oral and written
- Ability to utilize computers & software (Email, MS Office)
Additional Considerations
- Experience in procurement of supplies, equipment & services, preferably in the state
- Training & certification as VA Contract Associate or Officer
