Job Duties
Purpose of Position
To ensure university awareness and compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures applicable to the administration of the Norfolk State University Employee Relations program. This will include but is not limited to :
- Provide support and guidance to university leaders in managing employee performance.
- Work in collaboration with the Employee Relations Manager to develop and deliver employee relations training for managers and / or employees.
- Employee Relations recordkeeping, correspondence, and data collection.
- Serve as the agency representative in unemployment hearings.
- Provide support to the Employee Relations Manager as needed.
- Maintains confidentiality in performing duties.

Prefer experience in higher education and / or Commonwealth of Virginia human resources work.
