Our Structure & Bridge Division is seeking a qualified Engineer, Senior Asset Management to join the team. The selected candidate will serve as a Senior Asset Management Engineer in support of the statewide bridge, ancillary and / or tunnel inspection programs with oversight of multiple key program areas. The ideal candidate will possess a growth mindset, an aptitude for strategic analysis and problem solving, and a demonstrated commitment to servant leadership.
The selected candidate will be responsible for :
- Supporting administration and development efforts related to VDOT's bridge inspection management software, including;
o Facilitating access for authorized users.
o Providing customer support to authorized users.
o Providing customer support to upstream and downstream data consumers / producers.
o Coordinating with key stakeholders to identify functionality development needs.
o Coordinating with the software vendor to develop desired functionality and troubleshoot technical issues.
o Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data quality.
o Producing deliverables for the annual data submittal to FHWA.

VDOT is an emergency operation agency. Positions physically working within Central Office locations may be designated upon request and coordination among the respective District Engineer or Administrator and Chief. Assignments are updated annually. Not all designated employees are provided an emergency operations assignment.
Once onboarded, this position may be eligible for telework opportunities; availability, hours, and duration of telework shall be approved as outlined in the Commonwealth telework policy.
