Job Duties
Western State Hospital is seeking a full time Food Tech II - Cook that will be responsible to Production Supervisor for accurately following recipes to produce consistent recipe products for patient meal service that are appetizing, have the appropriate consistency, and good eye appeal and ensure that all work is in accordance with the rules and regulations of the VA Department of Health.
This position will also be responsible for weighing / measuring / portioning recipe ingredients as indicated by the recipe; practice proper food handling techniques and maintain safe temperatures on all food items worked with; label, date, and weigh al prepped products and place on proper carts in bulk holding box; chill cooked recipe items to appropriate safe temperature within appropriate timeframe; document all temperature within appropriate HACCP log sheets; and assist with tray assembly and or / try delivery as required.
