Job Duties
Serve Virginia’s veterans, their dependents and family members by ensuring they receive the benefits, support, quality care, and recognition they have earned through their service and sacrifice. To design, develop and implement effective training programs for service line employees, which includes identifying training needs, creating engaging instructional materials, coordinating with trainers, coordinating training events, and evaluating the success of training programs to ensure alignment with agency standards, goals and objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of training program management and curricula development. Knowledge in developing, implementing and evaluating training plans. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency staff and directors. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Some overnight travel is required.
Additional Considerations
A combination of demonstrated relevant experience and training is preferred. Considerable experience with training development, web-based training applications, and desktop publishing is preferred. Experience in the veteran’s claims process and current knowledge of Federal and State veterans' benefits, services, laws, and adjudication policies and procedures is preferred.
