Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting functions using Acumatica system, including expenditure processing, journal entries, and financial reporting
- Process semi-monthly payroll and fringe benefits accounting using ADP payroll system
- Complete monthly general ledger and bank account reconciliations
- Assist with annual financial audit and fiscal year-end reporting, including preparation of financial templates and supporting schedules
- Coordinate and complete federal grant reporting
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for governmental organizations and related financial reporting practices
- Experience with payroll procedures, employee benefit plans, and federal and state payroll reporting requirements
- Ability to manage computerized payroll processing and reporting system
- Skilled in use of computerized accounting and financial reporting system
- Knowledge of internal control structures and compliance
- Experience with reconciliation techniques and procedures
- Demonstrated skills in the use of Microsoft Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- 5 years accounting or finance-related experience
- CPA certification preferred
