Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated nurse to join our Endoscopy team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care for patients in all areas of the endoscopic procedure experience, including, pre-op, intra-op and/or post-op, to ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for endoscopic procedures
- Assist physicians during endoscopy procedures, including polypectomy, biopsy, dilation, etc.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide quality care
- Prepare specimens collected during procedures accurately
- Document medical information in patient records efficiently
- Discuss discharge plans with patients post-procedure
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia nursing license with experience in endoscopy or a related field preferred
- Familiarity with ACLS protocols with an active certification preferred
- Ability to prepare specimen collections accurately
- Strong medical documentation skills-focused attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for effective patient care and team collaboration
