What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visual Field Tech position at Virginia Eye Institute?

RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for the performance of Kinetic, Humphrey, and Goldmann Visual Fields, as ordered by the eye care provider. Must have the ability to work well with patients requiring specific direction and lots of encouragement. Must have the ability to read a schedule and know how to manage late arrivals/fitting in add-on fields if necessary.
Have the ability to obtain images for physician presentations as necessary.
Coordinate the maintenance of visual field equipment and supplies necessary to ensure maximum utilize of schedules and equipment.
Enter information / results into the patient’s electronic medical record. Follow government guidelines for medical record entry and coding.
Maintains the physical environment of the exam and procedure rooms by cleaning and stocking daily and maintaining medications as needed.
Clean, cover, and store equipment and instruments at the end of the day.
Work with non-visual field associates to train / educate on the visual fields requirements and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
