Visual Field Tech

The ideal candidate will be a team-player, self-starter, friendly, motivated, organized, and have the ability to work independently while sustaining a team environment.  A caring demeanor and the ability to build and maintain patient rapport is critical.  The candidate must be highly productive, eager to learn, and motivated to succeed.  RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will be responsible for the performance of Kinetic, Humphrey, and Goldmann Visual Fields, as ordered by the eye care provider.  Must have the ability to work well with patients requiring specific direction and lots of encouragement.  Must have the ability to read a schedule and know how to manage late arrivals/fitting in add-on fields if necessary.  Have the ability to obtain images for physician presentations as necessary. Coordinate the maintenance of visual field equipment and supplies necessary to ensure maximum utilize of schedules and equipment.  Enter information / results into the patient’s electronic medical record.  Follow government guidelines for medical record entry and coding. Maintains the physical environment of the exam and procedure rooms by cleaning and stocking daily and maintaining medications as needed. Clean, cover, and store equipment and instruments at the end of the day.
