Duties
- Lead and manage the nursing department, providing direction and support to nursing staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee patient care services, ensuring that quality standards are met and maintained.
- Conduct regular assessments of nursing practices and outcomes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans that meet the needs of patients in various settings including home care and assisted living.
- Manage staffing levels, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of nursing personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation and adherence to Medicare guidelines and MDS requirements.
- Stay current with best practices in nursing administration and acute care management.
