Introduction:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced SharePoint Developer to lead the migration of our existing agency Drupal Intranet site to a SharePoint platform. This role will involve collaborating with internal IT and business stakeholders, assessing current features and functionalities, and developing a roadmap to ensure a smooth transition to the new SharePoint site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with IT and Business stakeholders to understand the current Drupal Intranet site’s functionality.
- Develop a comprehensive migration plan for transitioning the site from Drupal to SharePoint, ensuring all necessary features and functions are maintained or improved.
- Create and document the architecture of the new SharePoint intranet site.
- Migrate or develop equivalent functionality in the new SharePoint site.
- Take ownership of the SharePoint development process, including hands-on development and coding.
- Ensure the migration process is executed in a timely and efficient manner with minimal disruption.
- Provide updates and progress reports to stakeholders and management throughout the migration process.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- 7 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development, including recent work with SharePoint Online.
- Experience with Drupal 7 (highly desired).
- Strong experience in the migration of legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, customization, and development.
- Proficiency in SharePoint Designer, PowerShell scripting, and related tools.
- Experience with creating and deploying SharePoint workflows, document libraries, and lists.
- Familiarity with migration tools and strategies for moving content from Drupal to SharePoint.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience working with Drupal 7.
- Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development.
- Knowledge of integrating SharePoint with other Microsoft 365 applications.
