Responsibilities : Laundry Processing :
Sort, wash, dry and fold laundry items such as linens, towels and uniforms. Help strip rooms Operate industrial laundry machines, dryers, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Inspect items for stains, damage, or repairs and ensure all items are cleaned to a high standard. Fold and package clean laundry for proper storage or delivery. Stocking and Inventory Management : Maintain inventory of laundry supplies (e.g., detergents, fabric softeners, cleaning products) and housekeeping supplies (e.g., cleaning chemicals, paper products, toiletries, cleaning tools).
Stock and organize laundry and housekeeping supplies to ensure they are readily available when needed. Monitor stock levels of both laundry and housekeeping supplies, and notify the Resort Manager when inventory is low or when orders need to be placed. Ensure that extra stock of clean linens, towels, uniforms, and other housekeeping items are stored in appropriate areas and are ready for use. Keep track of any damaged or worn-out linens, towels, or housekeeping supplies that need to be replaced or repaired. General Maintenance and Organization : Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room, housekeeping supply closets, and storage areas.
Ensure laundry equipment and cleaning tools are properly maintained and report any issues to the resort manager. Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures, including handling chemicals and maintaining equipment. Assist in the transportation of laundry to and from various areas if needed. May assist with special laundry requests (e.g., delicate fabrics, special treatment for stains). Requirements
Requirements :
Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping environment is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Good physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy loads. Basic understanding of laundry detergents, cleaning products, and housekeeping supplies. Excellent organizational skills and time management. Ability to track and manage inventory effectively. Strong communication skills for coordinating with other staff or departments.
