The newly established Office of Well-being at the University of Virginia Student Health and Wellness Center (SHW) is looking for a dynamic Associate Director to lead initiatives that foster healthy relationships and address the complexities of gender and interpersonal violence. Reporting to the Director of Well-being, this role involves providing leadership and coordinating advocacy services while planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the University's comprehensive interpersonal violence prevention strategy. The ideal candidate will employ a holistic public health approach that encompasses individual and community health, prevention, response, and assessment. This is a full- time 12-month University Staff position with all state benefits.
Specific responsibilities include :
Supervision / Administration / Advocacy (60%)
- Provide leadership on development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive and evidence-informed University interpersonal violence prevention strategic plan with annual and long-term goals and objectives.
- Mentor and supervise professional staff, graduate interns and peer health educators who provide healthy relationship and sexual violence prevention and early intervention programs.
- Work with SHW Communications team to manage and revise website content and marketing that supports interpersonal violence prevention and advocacy.
- Assist the Director in development of Office of Well-being policies and initiatives, budget management, evaluation, community collaborations and communications.
- Prepare reports summarizing data and trends to advocate for resources and additional programming needs.
- Other duties as assigned or in consultation with the Director of Well-being.
- Serve as a back-up to campus advocacy on-call team.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The anticipated hiring range for this position is $90,000.00-$120,000.00 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
