Job Duties
The Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Information Services, is seeking a qualified candidate to lead for administering DEQ's Cloud PaaS architecture, developing and supporting robust cloud integration solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and providing support and direction for other cloud offerings at DEQ. As the lead technical cloud resource, this position will spearhead efforts in designing, developing, and maintaining / maintaining OIC-based integrations between various source systems and Oracle Software as a Service (SaaS) applications, including ERP and HCM. Additionally, the Senior Cloud Technical Architect will guide and support other agency cloud-based platforms, ensuring comprehensive, consistent and innovative cloud solutions across the organization that are compliant with key Commonwealth & industry standards. The Senior Cloud Technical Architect is a technical lead role on the OIS architecture team and is responsible for the development of and adherence to agency cloud architecture standards. Serves as OIS liaison with key business program areas who are dependent on cloud-based applications for service delivery and reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to follow a hybrid work schedule to include both in office and telework.
- Extensive proven experience in developing and supporting cloud integration solutions.
- Experience within Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
- Strong knowledge of Oracle SaaS applications, including ERP and HCM.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues in cloud environments.
- Demonstrated communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Extensive knowledge with NIST security framework with proven track record of prior successful NIST-compliant implementations within cloud environments. Experience with VITA Information Security Standard (SEC530) beneficial.
- Experience with Oracle Analytics Cloud is beneficial.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud integration best practices, tools, and technologies.
- Proficiency in leveraging SQL for data ETL / data integration flows.
- Ability to mentor and lead technical teams, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain IT solutions.
- Experience with object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Knowledge of relational databases.
- Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle.
- Ability to work in a team environment and individually.
Additional Considerations
Please note this position follows a hybrid working schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the Central Office of DEQ located in Richmond, VA.
