The Division of Student Affairs works for and alongside students to create the distinctive student experience for which UVA is known. The University of Virginia's Department of Student Health & Wellness (SHW), a part of the Division of Student Affairs, is seeking Data Solution Developer to join our dynamic team. This multi-faceted position reports to the Assistant Director of Information Technology and collaborates with other team members to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form desired results. In addition, help the team as needed with operational issues, primarily surrounding Power BI reports, but not limited to Power BI reports.
- Must have experience using tools such as Visual Studio Code, SQL Server Management Studio, as well as writing complex SQL statements, and experience using T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Views.
- Additional areas of focus include Power BI experience creating reports, connecting to data, transforming data, visualizing data, creating dashboards.

Employment Type : This is a nonexempt level, benefited position and 40 hours per week. Hybrid remote, typically 1 day onsite after a brief initial onboarding.

Physical Demands : Will require frequent standing, walking, and climbing stairs. The position will require light lifting, bending, and stooping, in addition to the use of desktop computers in an office environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering or related discipline
Experience : At least three years of experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
