Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Math Central Center supports the retention and success objectives through peer advising and course remediation.
- Tutor and provide academic support to students in mathematics individually, in small groups or as an embedded tutor in a course. Such services may be provided in-person / on campus or virtually as determined by the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively using both oral and written skills for reports, email, student feedback, etc.
- Maintain working knowledge of educational software programs (e.g., MyMathLab) and instructional techniques and tools.
- Distribute, inventory, and maintain MC equipment (e.g., calculators).
- May attend additional training sessions and Professional Development Opportunities related to position or at the supervisor's discretion.
