We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our team in a groundbreaking initiative aimed to bring essential healthcare services directly to underserved communities. As part of our UVA Health Mobile Care program under the Population Health Department, you will play a pivotal role in providing vital primary care services and fostering community health and wellness.
Responsibilities :
- Drive and maintain the 29' Mobile Care vehicle to safely transport staff and equipment to and from designated community sites.
- Assist the provider team to deliver high-quality, healthcare services directly to patients within the EMT scope of practice, including handling emergency patient care needs.
- Engage with community members to build trust, rapport, and awareness of available healthcare services.
Preferred Requirements :
Position Compensation Range : $16.31 - $25.28 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
Experience : None
Licensure : Certified as a Health Emergency Medical Technician in the Commonwealth of Virginia required. Valid Driver's License (VADL) and at least 2 years of driving experience required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required. EVOC certification and be a released driver to transport patients required within 90 days of hire.
