The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive hourly opportunity to serve as a Graphic Design Consultant. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency's Chief of Staff Office.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
This position provides oversight and serves as the Graphic Design Consultant for the Public Relations & Communications Team.
This position is responsible for designing all content for the DMAS website, social media platforms, and newsletters.
The position is responsible for conducting research to understand the target audiences, content ideation and creation, documenting and visually mapping out all content for all communications platforms.
Develops and maintaining design systems and guides; evaluate content performance and makes improvements accordingly.
Serves as a liaison with the Information Management Team and responsible for posting content via the websites with the goal of optimizing the Medicaid member, Provider, and External Stakeholder experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications :
Considerable knowledge of design principles and techniques, with the ability to conduct research, analyze project information and provide art direction.
Considerable experience with creating content and for Social Media Channels, submitting ideas for videos, YouTube Content Creation and Strategy, and Facebook Live planning.
Considerable experience in Portfolio of samples demonstrating mastery of topography, color and design fundamentals, digital imaging and illustration, logo and visual identity, and spatial dynamics.
Considerable experience in planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring large scale projects.
Considerable experience in using Adobe Creative Suite to include InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Photoshop and Microsoft Office Suite to include 365.
Considerable experience in ensuring content is in compliance with state and federal regulations and laws.
Considerable experience in working independently and in a team environment of meeting deadlines.
Considerable experience with internal and external stakeholders.
Considerable experience in establishing timely project / work plans for upcoming special projects, and initiatives.
