This is a restricted position, which is solely funded by the OD2A-S for a 4-year period ending August 2028. The availability of funding is scheduled for review before the grant expiration date and periodically thereafter. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of funds.

Crater Health District is seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in addressing the substance use epidemic in our community by :
Engaging with healthcare providers to increase their knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment options.
Coordinating education and outreach efforts to raise public awareness, reduce stigma, and connect individuals with resources.
Collaborating with public safety officials to improve responses to substance use emergencies and develop innovative prevention strategies.
Supervising other staff and contributing to the development and implementation of district-wide overdose prevention programs.
This position is situated within the esteemed Epidemiology Program, a key initiative dedicated to communicable disease prevention, public education, COVID-19 containment, and overdose prevention efforts. Our program, along with the district, takes immense pride in delivering exceptional customer service to both community members and partner organizations. Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of evidence-based Drug Overdose Prevention principles
- Experience in coordinating trainings that support public health, or social services initiatives
- Considerable experience in program development, implementation and / or evaluation
- Skillful in project management, goal setting and coordinating initiatives
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary and / or collaborative team initiatives
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication with ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
- Supervisory experience
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects
