Job Duties
Provide physical therapy services to patient inmates. Services include outpatient orthopedics as well as Skilled Nursing / Rehabilitation / Acute care. Provide physical therapy evaluations, progress notes, updated plans of care, and discharges. Collaborate with other Physical Therapy (PT) clinic team members and medical staff to improve patient care. Assist in Physical Therapy Quality Improvement Measures and Data Collections. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from accredited Physical therapy Program
Current Physical Therapy license in Virginia
Experience evaluating and treating patients with various acute and chronic orthopedic dysfunctional
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to play an active role collaborating with other medical professionals to provide optimum care
Additional Considerations
Possesses leadership skills
Experience in patient centered program development within rehabilitation setting
Clinical experience in multiple settings such as outpatient orthopedic, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or acute facilities
