Job Duties
Are you knowledgeable of grant and financial management reporting, compliance, and principles? Do you have experience collecting and analyzing data, generating reports, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations? Then look no further! The Virginia Department of Energy, State Energy Office, is seeking a Reporting and Compliance Analyst to assist with program evaluation, reporting, and programmatic compliance with various state and federal requirement. The successful candidate will partner with key stakeholders to provide program and operational oversight, resource management, and complete reporting in alignment with federal compliance standards.
Anticipated funding for this position is approved through December of 2029 in which continued funding for this position is contingent on the availability of grants. Additionally, this position is currently approved to work a Hybrid telework schedule with four days in the office and one day of telework.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of grant reporting and compliance.
- Knowledge of federal financial management principles and reporting standards related to grant funds, including allowable costs and cost allocation.
- Proficient in collecting and analyzing financial data and generating reports to ensure compliance with federal grant requirements and facilitate audits.
- Skilled in using grant management systems and tools to track compliance and reporting deadlines effectively.
- Advanced problem-solving skills to identify challenges, develop innovative solutions, and manage risks in program operations.
- Detail oriented to provide a high level of accuracy in reporting and compliance tasks to ensure all data is reliable and meets federal requirements / standards.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members to move program tasks and initiatives forward.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information clearly to stakeholders.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record
This position has been designated as required to file a Statement of Economic Interest in accordance with Section 2.2-3114 of the Code of Virginia.
