- Manage firewall operations and implement security rules.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to define network security requirements.
- Design and develop network security architectures using diverse technologies and methodologies.
- Assess existing network infrastructures, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions.
- Provide guidance on network security best practices and emerging trends.
- Create comprehensive documentation, including solution designs and implementation plans.
- Present network security solutions to diverse audiences, including executives.
- Support engineering teams with implementation and troubleshooting.
- Stay current on network security advancements and integrate new knowledge into solutions.
- Conduct security audits and recommend remediation measures.
- Offer expertise in cloud networking and SaaS, focusing on connectivity and data security.
- 5 years of experience with firewalls and network security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper).
- 5 years of network troubleshooting experience.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration).
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex topics effectively.
- Certification in at least one network security vendor's solution set.
- Zero Trust-specific certifications.
- 3 years of experience with AWS and Azure cloud networking environments.
- AWS and/or Azure-specific networking certifications.
- Proven experience in managing firewall policies in hybrid cloud environments.
- Firewall vendor certifications (Fortinet is a plus).
- SD-WAN experience (e.g., Silverpeak).
- Experience with Juniper routers and/or Aruba switches.
