Position Overview:
The Production Manager for Landscaping will oversee all day-to-day operations of the landscaping division, ensuring the efficient execution of projects and services related to the design, installation, and maintenance of outdoor spaces. This role is responsible for managing teams, resources, schedules, and client expectations, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Landscape Management & Planning:
- Plan and coordinate landscaping projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
- Oversee the scheduling of crews and resources for commercial landscaping projects.
- Review site plans and project specifications to ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Develop project timelines, ensuring that all team members meet deadlines and objectives.
2. Team Leadership & Supervision:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of landscape Crew Leaders and Crew Members.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training, and ensure all team members are properly equipped and skilled for their roles.
- Foster a positive work environment and encourage team collaboration to ensure efficient workflow.
3. Resource Management & Budgeting:
- Manage procurement of necessary materials, tools, and equipment for landscaping and landscape management projects.
- Ensure that all resources are utilized efficiently to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Monitor project budgets and costs, ensuring that expenditures stay within the projected limits.
4. Quality Control & Safety:
- Ensure that all landscaping work meets or exceeds company standards for quality and craftsmanship.
- Implement and monitor safety procedures and practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Regularly conduct site inspections to assess the progress and quality of work.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
5. Customer Relations:
- Communicate directly with Account Manager and Branch Manager to provide updates on project status, timelines, and any issues that may arise.
- Work with management team to handle customer complaints or concerns, providing solutions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs and specifications, ensuring project outcomes align with expectations.
6. Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, including labor hours, materials used, and any changes to the original scope of work.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to upper management regarding project progress, timelines, and financial status.
- Track the progress of projects, ensuring milestones are met and deadlines are adhered to.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Stay current with trends and innovations in landscaping, including sustainable practices, new materials, and tools.
- Suggest and implement improvements to processes, safety procedures, and overall operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in landscaping or landscape management with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale projects, budgets, and teams in a landscaping or landscape management environment.
- Ability to speak in English and Spanish.

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide employees.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Strong understanding of landscaping techniques, materials, and tools.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards related to landscaping work.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient in MS Office and landscape management software (e.g., Aspire, LMN, etc).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrains.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed for site inspections or project tasks.
Additional Information:
- This role requires occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or handle emergencies.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and a clean driving record is preferred.
- Certification in landscape management, project management, or related fields is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
