We are currently taking applications for a full-time Home Health Intake/Insurance Authorization Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the intake process for new and existing patients. Your duties will include processing patient referrals, ensuring all required documentation is obtained, verifying insurance details, and obtaining pre-authorization as needed. You will also coordinate and schedule admissions and evaluations for our field staff. The ideal candidate should be highly detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and be able to work effectively with medical professionals, patients, and their families.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home health or intake coordination.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and home health processes.
- Strong computer skills with experience using multiple EMRs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Background/Drug tests, seasonal flu vaccine required.
