With multiple locations across Virginia and Maryland, we are growing and looking to add a skilled Compact Construction Equipment Mechanic to our team.
Position Overview:
As a Compact Construction Equipment Mechanic, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of compact construction equipment, including skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and more. Your expertise ensures our customers’ machines stay productive and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
· Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on compact construction equipment.
· Conduct thorough inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
· Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately pinpoint issues.
· Complete detailed work orders and service reports.
· Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
· Communicate effectively with customers and team members on repair status and recommendations.
· Stay up to date with technical bulletins, service updates, and ongoing training.
Qualifications:
· 2 years of experience in equipment repair (compact construction equipment preferred).
· Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
· Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· OEM certifications (John Deere, Bobcat, CAT, etc.) are a plus but not required.
