What you will do in this role :
Ensures the nursing department staff performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medicalhealth care errors
Ensures appropriate documentation, including documentation of medical necessity, by staff in medical records; monitors completion and revisions to the Interdisciplinary Care Plan
Assists to review and evaluate risk and quality indicators, patient satisfaction results, and outcomes in order to continually improve performance and outcomes; communicates this information to the nursing department
Ensures staff completes charting timely
Manages staffing plans, nursing hours per patient day, and quality of work of nursing staff
May have patient care assignment in addition to daily responsibilities
Coordinates and directs appropriate rehab care needs related to patientfamily educational needs, barriers or continuum of care requirements
Serves as a clinical rehab resources for patientsfamilies during their rehab stay
Assists with day to day coordinationfollow-up of patient care and problem resolution
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN
Preferred
Current unrestricted state licensure as Registered Nurse
CPRBCLS certification. ACLS preferred
CRRN Certification preferred
Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred
Minimum of two years previous rehab nursing experience preferred
Salary range : $115,000-$140,000. We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this hourly rate, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this hourly rate. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital strives to maximizethe health, function, and quality of life of those we serve throughcomprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs. Ourrehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment topatients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, intenserehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering fromstroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury,amputation, and orthopedic injury. We are accredited by The Joint Commissionand CARF-accredited for our Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient RehabilitationProgram and Stroke Specialty Program.
