Certification Details BLS WA State License Job Details Job Title : OR Tech Facility : Virginia Mason Medical Center Specialty : OR Tech Contract Length : 13 weeks Common Cases : GYN / Uro / Vascular / Plastic / Ortho / Neuro / Cardiovascular / Thoracic / General / Sports Med / Kidney Transplants / ENT Average of cases per day : 50-65 Experience Required : 1 year of scrubbing experience, Davinci XI experience required Job Requirements BLS certification required Must have WA State license at time of submittal Graduate of an accredited school CST national certification not required, but must be registered with Washington State Schedule Information 4-10 hour shifts, variable days and start times Mon-Friday Start times : 0630, 0900, or 1100 No self-scheduling; consistent start time for the same week Weeknight call : 1 call total per 4 week schedule, begins at end of shift until 7am next morning Weekend call : 24 hours (7am to 7am), rotated between staff and travelers Call response time : 30 minutes Unit Specific Information Unit : OR Tech of Suites : 22, capability to go to 26 on 3 different floors Unit / Department specific orientation : 2 days with a surgical tech Additional Details Traveler must bring their own earphones for online training during the first week of orientation Scrub color / dress code : Teal, scrubs provided Physicians and team are very helpful and willing to teach Travelers tend to extend as long as they can
