POSITION SUMMARY:
- Do you love to cook? Join our team as a Lead Cook! In this position, you will prepare a wide variety of food for residents, employees, and visitors while maintaining high standards for food quality and presentation. You will coordinate all aspects of food service, including menu adjustments and communicating with other service lines. Your knowledge of sanitation practices, safe food handling skills, and other trade tricks will come in handy as you prepare delicious meals that delight our residents.
COMPENSATION:
- Based on previous experiences and qualifications, the starting base pay rate is $22.00 per hour.

WORK SCHEDULE:
- 6:00AM - 2:30PM (Monday-Friday) and every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) with day off during the week
- 80 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
Requirements
As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.

- Are you a high school graduate or have a GED equivalent?
- Do you possess a minimum of 1 year experience cooking in a food production environment?
- Do you have a working knowledge of HACCP and OSHA protocols?
- Do you have the ability to stand for long hours and lift / carry up to 35 pounds?
- Do you possess basic mathematical skills?
- Are you able to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language?
- Are you able to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations and maintain positive relationships with residents and co-workers?
- Are you available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled?
- Are you able to interact tactfully with residents, families, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner?
- Are you self-motivated?
- Do you possess the ability to schedule time wisely and accommodate changes?
