This position is responsible for ensuring the safety and supervision of members and guests in the aquatics area of VMRC's Wellness Center.
Based on previous qualifications and experiences, the starting base pay rate is $16.25 - $20.30 per hour.
Work Schedule:
- Based upon staffing needs and the selected candidate's availability
- Potential hours are 3-4 hour shifts, scheduled Monday through Friday between 5:45 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 6:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Primary needs are: 5:45 am - 10:00 am or 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm
- Average of 12-20 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks)
- Not eligible for benefits
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with experience as a pool lifeguard in a hospital, recreational or commercial fitness facility.
- Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard AED/CPR/First Aid certification.
- Possess a command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Ability to provide outstanding customer service with a friendly, outgoing, and customer-service oriented approach
- Ability to work closely with the senior population in a calm, cooperative, respectful, and professional manner.
- Self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Salary : $16 - $20
