Requirements
As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.

Schedule
- New Employee Orientation will be from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Monday, April 7, 2025
- The Nurse Aide classroom program will be 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday, from April 8th through May 29th, 2025
- The Nurse Aide clinical (hands-on skills education) will be 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM April 30th- May 2nd| 1:45 PM - 10:15 PM on May 5th - May 9th | May 12th - OFF | In Class May 13 & 14 - 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM |May 15th In Class - 10 AM -3:30 PM ( LAST OFFICIAL DAY ) | May 16th - 8:00 AM- 3:30 In Class, NEO PT 2 with Melissa & Register for Exam / meet with Scheduler | May 20th Graduation | May 21st State Testing
- Participants must be able to commit to the entire program without any missed time.

- New employees are eligible for benefits on date of hire!
- All benefits are available with positions scheduled 60 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks); all benefits except medical insurance are available with positions scheduled 40 hours per week.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
- To continue with employment as a Nurse Aide (upon completion of the program), the state board exam will need to be passed within 120 days of employment to become licensed as a Certified Nurse Aide in the Commonwealth of Virginia (up to 3 attempts for passing the exam are provided).
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language in order to understand and carry out oral and written assignments.
- Perform the duties listed in the job description with limited supervision; be self-motivated.
- Ability to interact tactfully with residents, patients, families, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
