As a Physical Therapist, you will be expected to
- Assesses, plans, organizes, and administers rehabilitative programs that improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
- Plan and administer medically prescribed physical therapy, including the use of therapy equipment as appropriate
- Provide quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results;
- Develop a plan of treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations and physician input;
- Evaluate and document patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed;
- Evaluate the use and fit of prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend adjustments or modifications;
- Document patient care services according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures
- Report patient progress to patient, caregivers, loved ones, facility staff, and healthcare professionals;
- Develop plans for patients following the completion of the Plan of Treatment, including appropriate in-home care services
- Effectively delegating tasks to Physical Therapist Associates (the Physical Therapist monitors and oversees work of the Physical Therapist Associate, but does not have a supervisory relationship).
Compensation:
- $43.00 - $47.00/HR -- Pay is based upon previous work experience.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Two (2) years experience as a Licensed Physical Therapist (no experience required for applicants holding a Master’s or Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Physical Therapy);
- Hold a Current Virginia Physical Therapist Licensure (or eligible for licensure in Virginia);
- CPR certification
- Physical stamina to lift, transfer, and assist patients through physical activities
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to assist patients as needed; ability to communicate clearly to patients in-person and over the phone
- Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patients and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
